The article presents a design approach for regenerative cesium system based on ensuring a thermal state for subsequent multiple use of cesium during operation of a space nuclear power generating unit. A design technique for cesium system of the thermal emission power generating unit is being developed. The basic issues affecting the functionality are identified, the task of finding optimal design solutions is set. Some methods for ensuring the optimal thermal state of the cesium system are given.
