Postcommunism and tolerance. Methodological aspects

In the article the heuristic possibilities of using conceptions of tolerance formed in modern political theory for analysis of the phenomenon of post-communism are analyzed. The specific peculiarities of political processes in the Central and the Eastern Europe as like as the post-communist Russia are investigated. In particular, the following thesis which is important for understanding of post-communist politics is based. the absence of tolerance itself generated many political crises accompanying the process of reforms in this region during the last decades of XX century.
