The article examines the influence of postmodern trends on the formation and transformation of Russian national identity. The authors analyze how processes such as globalization, cultural homogenization, and community fragmentation affect Russia’s traditional values and cultural codes. Particular attention is paid to the contradictions between globalist values and the desire to preserve national sovereignty and cultural uniqueness. The role of patriotism and national identity in the context of metamodernism is explored, emphasizing the im-portance of spiritual and material values for internal societal cohesion and sustainable development. The authors conclude that national identity, based on the recognition of cultural diversity and historical experience, is a key factor in overcoming the crises associated with the challenges of postmodernism. The article also highlights the resur-gence of patriotism as a value-based institution that fosters integration and solidarity within multiethnic communities. The successful development of national identity contributes to the strengthening of sovereignty and genuine multi-culturalism, the formation of a new universal content based on the best examples of the development of various civilizations and ideological systems. Furthermore, the necessity of a robust ideological foundation is underscored to counter external influences and soft power tactics, ensuring the preservation and progressive development of national territories as historically established geocultural spaces.
