Building a model of the business-process "conclusion of a contract for the transportation of cargo with a charterer"

In the field of shipping logistics, the process of concluding a freight contract is a lengthy process in which decisions must be made quickly enough at several stages. This article discusses the main stages of concluding a charter contract and also identifies a number of potential problems that a charterer may encounter in this business process. The main stages of the business process are presented on the VAD-diagram of the chain of added quality in ARIS notation. Events, during which the speed of decision-making is most important are indicated.
