The potential of distance learning on the basis of MOOC in order to improve the skills and retraining of employees of the enterprises

In the spring of 2020, universal distance learning was one of the innovations that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to the higher education system. Educational institutions around the world were forced to urgently digitize their programs. As practice has shown, the use of digital distance learning is quite relevant in an unstable external environment and has certain prospects in the field of professional training of specialists in Russian universities. In the current economics conditions associated with the crisis caused by the global pandemic COVID-19, training and retraining of enterprise employees on the basis of free distance learning MOOC platforms has become one of the innovations. As practice has shown, the use of distance learning in digital format based on MOOC platforms is quite relevant in the current unstable external environment and, despite a number of shortcomings, has a certain potential for advanced training and retraining of employees of enterprises. It is shown that using virtual reality training, it is possible to create corporate training that will be more effective than traditional methods. The use of the author’s approach, based on the methods of scientific generalization and comparative analysis, made it possible to establish that employee training is one of the most popular and effective ways of using virtual reality in business. The practical significance of the work done lies in the fact that it can serve as the basis for further scientific research in the field of using modern corporate virtual reality products for training employees of enterprises based on foreign experience.
