Potential for modernisation of the Russian higher school: competences communication of the professorate and students

The article deals with a survey conducted by the marketing research agency Procontact in spring 2011. The survey examined the process of producing competences by Russian universities and the degree of mastering these competences by university graduates. The experts under survey represent the top and medium-level management of Russian companies. They share the concern of the pedagogical community over the young specialists’ level of competence and their ability to participate in effective modernisation of the Russian society.
