Potential of academic and professional cultural elites for solving the problems of identity

The author considers the role of the academic elite in the development of the theoretical level of ethnic consciousness and its methods of operation. It formulates the main tasks in optimizing the potential of culture to enhance ethnic self-esteem. It also defines the modern tasks for the cultural elite of the Finno-Ugric peoples.
