Potential models of language education functioning in the interactive educational space of a tourist university

In the context of globalization and the increasing role of communication skills, foreign language proficiency is becoming critical for specialists in the field of tourism and the hotel business. Established concepts of language education face limitations caused by temporal, spatial, and cognitive parameters. To address these challenges, advanced Internet technologies are effectively used, opening up new horizons in solving problems. This publication is devoted to the study of the dynamics of the development of digitalized language education in tourism universities, the analysis of fundamental models of the integration of the digital environment into the methodology of the formation of foreign language competence. Priority is given to the characterization of mixed learning concepts, the «Inverted Classroom» model, and fully distance learning formats. The key difficulties and possible configurations of introducing digital tools into the learning process aimed at developing competitive business communication skills in a foreign language among future professionals are analyzed.
