Potential collective numerals as a figure of speech

The article discusses possibilities of potential collective numerals as a figure of speech in the Russian language. The analysis of literary texts showed that the potential “big” collective numerals in stylistically marked context are relatively easily to be implemented; their appearance in the literary text is usually associated with the voice characteristics of the characters.
