Consumer features of modern assortment of chewing gum

The article studies of consumer qualities of modern range of chewing gum (standard, for weight loss and for the treatment of tobacco dependence) with the aim of identifying their distinctive features. It defines the concept of «chewing gum» as a food product in accordance with the regulations. The analysis of marking types used for labeling different sorts of chewing gum identifying their consumer qualities is presented. The analysis reveals that none of the labels on chewing gum samples contains all the required information. A comparative analysis of consumer characteristics of chewing gum shows that modern samples of this product with the special function does not allow the user to get complete information about their distinctive consumer characteristics, what is the most important; including recommendations and (or) restrictions on use and lack of a unified conformity sign in the market, confirming the safety of these products.
