Improving the road traffic safety is a key to sustainable economic development

This article discusses the role of road traffic safety in the development of the economy, in the preservation of life and ensuring the welfare of the people. Statistical data on the number of road accidents in foreign countries and in Uzbekistan are presented with an analysis of their culprits. The data on the economic losses due to the ineffective traffic management system are presented and proposals for their elimination are given.
