The increasing economic activity of the population as a way to overcome the demographic imbalance

This paper presents an analysis of the problems facing Russia in the next decade, the decline of oil and gas rents and population aging. The stagnation of oil production will lead in the long term to reduce the impact of resource sector on the economy. Reducing the number of able-bodied citizens can have a negative impact on the economy and welfare of the citizens. Opportunities to overcome the demographic imbalance associated with increased economic activity of the population, supported by appropriate public policies.
