Discusses the issue of raising the quality of teaching mathematics on the basis of the competence-based approach in accordance with the requirements of the state standard for the teaching of mathematics for non-mathematical profiles. Along with this is given the corresponding fundamental structure of knowledge, the role of discipline, preparing the expert to mathematics in advance of requirements, which form Remexio, creativity and the sustainability of the discipline. The main characteristic of competence is knowledge and experience in a particular subject. The main mathematical competence of the specialist can be considered as the following: the ability of mathematical thinking in solving mathematical problems, the ability to use mathematical knowledge, skills in professional activities, the readiness of self-development and self-government through the development of mathematical knowledge.
