Improving the quality of buckwheat harvesting

The article presents the design of the upgraded lower covers of the grain and grain elevators of the combine harvester, as well as their technical characteristics and test results when harvesting buckwheat. The tests took place in the fields of the NOPC "Integration" of the Oryol GAU. The experiment included measurements of grain purity in a hopper with standard elevator covers (basic version) and after installing upgraded covers (new version). During the tests, an increase in the purity of the "bunker grain" was revealed by an average of 0.8%, this should further favorably affect the post-harvest cleaning and drying of the resulting crop, and will also allow maintaining soil fertility at a higher level than in the basic version. The test results confirm the feasibility of using the designs we have proposed.s.
