The article is devoted to the urgent task of extending the service life of the element base of transport infrastructure objects, in particular metal tubular structures and elements of detachable connections, by processing working surfaces in order to create protective layers on the metal surface with predetermined characteristics. The ongoing processing established specific operating conditions and technological features of real transport infrastructure facilities. This made it possible to talk about the creation of durable metal elements (up to 50 years of service life), which corresponds (corresponds) to the level of competitiveness of these products, while maintaining the profitability and high quality of the domestic industry.
