Cognitive strategies in the work of consciousness and the unconscious

The article deals with empirical correlates of dogmatism and criticism in the context of contemporary knowledge about consciousness, cognitive unconscious and dual process theories. Experimental framework that makes it possible to measure outcomes of execution dogmatic and critical cognitive strategies in an explicit way is proposed. Empirical evidence for interplay between these strategies and cognitive processing systems, and some personality characteristics as well, is shown and clarified. Perspectives of further researches are also discussed.
