Pragmatics of the narrative discourse

The article deals with the pragmatic characteristics of the narrative discourse. It is shown that those are affected by the text’s belonging to one of the major aesthetic systems (aesthetics of “similarity” and aesthetics of “contraposition”), as well as by the character of the narrative instances of the text.
