Pragmatics of the informal word in political discourse (on the material of the British press)

The article considers the determination of evaluation creation in cases of using colloquial lexicon in the political discourse of the British press. Stylistic marking, as part of the pragmatic information contained in the word meaning, enters into relationship of contradiction with the pragmatic characteristics of the context, which is the representation of political discourse. The article draws conclusions about possible variations of contextual meanings in the functioning of colloquially-marked lexemes in a given kind of context.
