Practical and theoretical problems of article 134 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

The article provides an overview of the theoretical and practical problems discussed in the scientific literature arising from the application of Article 134 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: the inconsistency of the title of the article with its content, the debatable question regarding the age of the victim and others. The most interesting are the notes to the article under consideration: special grounds for exemption from criminal liability and mitigation of punishment. These norms raise serious questions about the observance of the constitutional principles of equality and legal certainty.
