Practical problems of initiation stage of criminal proceedings on illegal felling

Russian forests play an important part in the process of environment self-regulation by preventing dramatic climate changes. That's why ever-increasing problem of illegal felling in Russia is in the center of this article. The author attempts to consider specific dilemmas in initiation of the proceedings for illegal felling, because this stage includes activity for case adjudication and consideration of some aspects that are necessary for passing right judgment. This article includes data published in different sources and statistics, found during research.
