The practice of applying the ideology of Turkism in Central Asia at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries

The article reviews the practices of applying the ideology of Turkism in Central Asia at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries in the light of modern conditions for the interaction of the interested states of this region. The purpose of the study is to identify the significance of the application of the ideology of Turkism in Central Asia at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries. The article presents in the main postulates of Turkism in accordance with the ideas of Z. Gökalp. The prerequisites for the use of Turkism in Turkey’s foreign policy activities in Central Asia are investigated. The main formats of Turkey’s interaction with the Turkic-speaking states of Central Asia are considered in the context of the practice of applying the ideology of Turkism. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the importance of the practice of applying the ideology of Turkism in the process of interaction of Turkic-speaking states is revealed. The research proves that foreign policy contacts based on the application of the ideology of Turkism show significant effectiveness in certain cases.
