Terrorism and the measures that public authorities take to prevent this phenomenon and fight against specific terrorists and terrorist organizations have a significant influence on politics and public life in modern societies. At the same time, the issue of the need for a certain restriction of the rights and freedoms of citizens in order to guarantee national security remains quite controversial and not fully developed.
