The right of convicts to life imprisonment

In the work analyzed the main the right of convicted persons to life imprisonment, their essence and realization in practice in terms of the existing legislation of the Russian Federation. The analysis of the statistics provided by the public federal service of execution of punishment of Russia, as well as the judicial Department in the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Survey are considered in the corrective labor colony of special regime of the Federal Government agencies IR № 2 management of federal service of execution of punishment of Russia for the Perm edge among convicts to life imprisonment the deprivation freedom. The relevance of scientific research is that life imprisonment is a punishment for the Commission of particularly serious crimes, in connection with which it is one of the most significant institutions of Russian criminal law. In the work identified some problems arising in the implementation of the rights of convicts to life imprisonment. Discusses some of the discussion questions the existence of this kind of sentence, in particular the right to parole, sentenced to life imprisonment. The work also identified proposals to improve legislation for the implementation of the rights of convicts to life imprisonment.
