The law enforcement in the context of postmodern

The author shows the issues of definition and content of the law enforcement in the context of postmodern. The author uses a socio-legal methodology for the disclosure of the content of the law enforcement. The article argues that the postmodern problematisizes the law enforcement. This is due to the lack of a unified system of values in a multicultural society. The author treats the law enforcement as a practice, which is reproduced in the legal system of the society. It is formed by the subjects of law, their interaction and legal frames. There is demonstrated the role of the legal interests and the legitimating of the law enforcement. The most difficult issues are the definition of interests of subjects of law and its legitimacy. The author formulates the mechanism of reproduction of the law enforcement. It includes the stage of externalization, objectification, selection and legitimization.
