Commucation of prosecutor’s service of Russia to raise legal awareness - revisiting the issue of pretended targeting

Бесплатный доступ

Communication to raise legal awareness carried out by the prosecutor’s office, is explicitly determined by a direct order of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. Consistency of this work prompts using a model-based approach as a tool for interpretation. Circular models of communication fail to identify the role of members of society in communicative acts. Linear models of communication have a stronger illuminative potential. This article is an attempt to demonstrate that using model-based approach to interpret and assess the performance of a web-channel edited by an office of the prosecutor’s service, can help conclude whether its targeting is genuine or pretended. The research is based on posts taken from Telegram channels edited by reginal offices of the prosecution service of the Russian Federation.
