The article analyzes the main spheres of Orthodox-Islamic intercultural dialogue and social partnership in the Republic of Mordovia. Particular attention is paid to the formation of the Orthodox - Muslim interaction in the region under the influence of the Soviet collapse. The author made an attempt to evaluate the significance of the inter-religious interactions for the Republic of Mordovia, and to determine the range of problems that impede the positive dialogue between Christianity and Islam.
