The study discusses the Orthodox worldview of F.M. Dostoevsky in the context of his works. Although he leaned towards Orthodox Christian views, his philosophical considerations were transformed through artistic worldview. The writer’s worldview was based on the ideas about the significance of Christ’s teachings, the image of God and Godlikeness, the need for love, free faith, prayer, humility and suffering, the scourge of willfulness and pride. This allowed him to embody Orthodox ideals in the literature. The study identifies that, on the one hand, the Holy Scriptures can be regarded as a starting point for the literary heritage of F.M. Dostoevsky; on the other hand, they develop biblical truths and become a reality. His novels are full of polyphony, motifs and reminiscences of scripture that is the value of F.M. Dostoevsky as a philosopher. His Orthodox experience became a system based on the teachings of the Church Fathers, primarily the Elder Zosima, who embodied the ideal of the spiritual type of Russian man.
