Justice: a new constitutional dimension

The article evaluates the reasons for the inferiority and limited results of many years of reforms in the justice system from a new perspective. Based on an analysis of the genesis of philosophical, political and legal views on the essence of such phenomena as the state, law and justice, we express an idea about the underlying factors that form the image of justice. The article contains a conclusion about the need to address the moral matrix of modern justice and its educational function, which has seriously affected by the devaluation of cultural, historical, spiritual and moral values. In this regard, we have analyzed the content of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation of 2020, as well as to the Fundamentals of State Policy for Preserving and Strengthening Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values approved by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2022, and their potential impact on a new understanding of the place of justice in modern Russia. The article also raises the question of the value-based orientation of Russian justice as a condition and method for its effective constitutional reformation.
