Legal model of countering extremism among young people (on the example of the Krasnodar Territory)

The escalation of ethnic, political, religious and social extremism has become a kind of trend in modern society, characteristic of almost all countries of the world, especially among young people. The paper considers the features of legal counteraction to manifestations of extremism in the youth environment. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the federal legislation and the legislation of the Krasnodar Territory on the prevention of extremist manifestations. This analysis is carried out taking into account the development of modern domestic legislation aimed at countering extremism. The authors of the paper come to the conclusion that the legal regulation of countering manifestations of youth extremism is insufficiently developed, since most of the relevant norms are devoted to general issues of combating this phenomenon. Therefore, there is an urgent need for legal regulation of its overcoming in the youth environment, which is also confirmed by statistical data.
