Legal Protection of Agricultural Land in the Russian Federation: Public-Legal Aspects and Mechanisms to Ensure Sustainable Utilization

The article is devoted to the study of public-law aspects of agricultural land protection in the Russian Federation. The author examines the content and goals of legal protection of agricultural lands, analyzes the current legislation regulating their use and protection, and identifies gaps related to the lack of clear legal definitions and classifications. It focuses on the issues of rational use, prevention of soil degradation, ensuring food security and sustainable development of the agricultural sector. It also touches upon the issues of land reclamation, monitoring of soil condition and interaction of authorities of different levels. The article emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach to the protection of agricultural land, as well as the integration of scientific, legal and managerial mechanisms to improve the effectiveness of legal regulation in this area.
