Legal protection of the individual: victimological aspect

To date, the feld of law has a suffcient theoretical basis, which allows to outline the concept of legal protection of the individual from threats of a criminal nature - legal protection of victims of crime. The subject of the study was the normative legal acts regulating relations in the feld of personal security from threats of a criminal nature. The research methodology consists of General scientifc methods of cognition (analysis, synthesis, induction) and private scientifc methods (systematic, formal-logical). As a result of the study, it is concluded that the protection of the individual from the criminal threat is provided not only by a set of implemented criminal law and criminal procedure measures, but also by other measures of infuence on the source of victimization in society. The study of the set of legal measures to protect the individual from threats of a criminal nature allows us to identify such a category as legal victim protection, which determines the degree of security of the individual in a crime-victim situation.
