Legal and Psychological Support for the Safety of Individuals Subject to State Protection

The study used the method of comparative analysis of regulatory legal acts and scientific sources on the issues of personal security, protection of witnesses and other participants in legal proceedings, based on the materials of modern foreign and domestic practice and historical experience. The article examines the concept of "security" and its definition in scientific research and legal documents; it studies the concept of "personal security" as one of the components of national security in any state, where personal security implies a certain state of protection from negative and destructive influences on the physical, mental, and other aspects of a person's well-being. The importance of organizing legal and psychological security for individuals subject to state protection, which includes a comprehensive program that allows the protected individual to feel safe and willing to participate in legal proceedings, is ultimately an indicator and an integral component of the national security of any state. The article concludes that psychological support is an important component of the process of implementing state protection for individuals who are subject to such protection. By studying and taking into account the individual characteristics of each protected person, it is possible to develop an effective strategy for implementing state protection measures. Additionally, by choosing the right approach and timing for interacting with the protected person, as well as implementing an individualized program of psychological support for individuals subject to state protection, it is possible to minimize the impact of negative factors on the implementation of measures and ensure the safety of the protected individuals in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation.
