Legal status of the Buddhist clergy (on the materials of "The true records about the Mongols of the Qing empire")

The article considers the status of the Buddhist clergy on the basis of "The true records about the Mongols of the Qing empire". The analysis of the legislative regulation of the clergy juridical status and also of the religious and secular relations on the basis of common law documents use is given.
