Legal regulation of the access to the information on the government agencies in the modern Russia

The problems of ensuring population's freedom of access to information as a tool of ensuring rights and freedoms are investigated in the article, with special attention paid to analysis of the provisions of the Federal law on ensuring access to the information on the government agencies' and local self-government activities.
