The article deals with the features of modern legal regulation of public service in the internal Affairs bodies, which primarily consist in a wide range of normative legal acts regulating both General issues of public service in the Russian Federation and special ones regulated by special legislation. The positive features of the current service legislation are highlighted, as well as problems that need legislative settlement.
