The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the legal regulation of information technologies in the context of continuous scientific and technological progress. It is noted that legal regulation includes both national and international legislation and covers such areas as data protection, copyright, cybersecurity, e-commerce and much more. Special attention is paid to topical aspects of cybersecurity and the goals of legal regulation of information technologies. The author analyzes the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of personal data protection and combating cybercrime. In conclusion, it is concluded that the successful implementation of laws and the creation of an effective legal environment for digital innovations can significantly contribute to the development of the economy and improve the quality of life of citizens.
