Legal regulation of the powers of public authorities in the sphere of healthcare

The article examines the organizational and legal issues of participation of public authorities in ensuring the prevention of infectious and chronic non-infectious diseases. It is noted that participation in the process of prevention of infectious and chronic non-infectious diseases of bodies that are not directly part of the health care system is determined by the types of preventive measures themselves, which provide not only medical interventions, but also a wide range of other measures. Attention is drawn to the potential of local governments in protecting the health of citizens, while noting the limited legal capabilities of their implementation of health measures.
