Legal regulation of the technologies on the basis of distributed registers

Nowadays there is a new stage of developing currency that is directly connected with the virtual world. Due to the active using cryptocurrency by the world community and its emergence in Russia the legislators try to solve the problem of legalizing such economic innovation. However, there is still no mechanisms of legal regulation of cryptocurrency, that seriously slows down the development of the digital economy in Russia. In the context of the article the author tries to establish legal status of cryptocurrency and blockchain system. In addition, the content of these phenomena are legally analyzed and the definitions for developing legislation are suggested.
