The article presents results of the research concerned with the illegal activities in the sphere of compulsory social insurance. By studying the specific articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation the author deals with the range of problems regarding the fraud control in the mentioned sphere. The necessity of classification and specification of the essential elements of the fraud is also discussed in the paper.
