The legal statute of the Buryat Buddhism as a confession in the Russia state system

During the last decades of the 20th century. In the Buryat community a comprehensive process of its transformation is underway. At the same time, religion undergoes significant changes under the influence of transformations occurring in other areas of Buryat society. In addition, the process of the growth of religiosity takes place against the background of a change in the status, role, functions of religion and religious behavior of Buddhist believers.
