Legal status of the head of the municipality

The article considers the head of the municipality as an official who has his own specific legal status. The authors consider the positive and negative sides of the powers prescribed in the charter of the municipality, as well as federal law. According to the results of the study, the authors conclude that in carrying out his activities he must fulfill his functions and tasks in strict accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
