Legal status of convicted persons

The legal status of persons serving a sentence of imprisonment is the most understudied topic in domestic legal science. Since in its content the legal status of convicts is the most complex system covering various branches of law. A more detailed study of the conceptual categories of legal status allows us to reveal the most meaningful aspects of the legal status of convicts. The article attempts to characterize the most essential features of the legal status of persons serving a sentence.
