Law aspects of the phenomenon of historical site

The paper deals with the actual problems of establishing the borders of the territories of historical site as objects of cultural heritage. It is shown that the legal tools for identifying the historical and cultural value of places of interest, the regulation of urban development activities on their territories should be largely related to the methods of landscape design. A refined formulation of the concept of historical site as a type of cultural heritage is proposed.
