Legal aspects of social problems of migrants in Russia and Mongolia

The article examines the current state of legal regulation of social problems of migrants in Russia and Mongolia. This problem is relevant for the two countries, as migration flows are increasing and provoking the growth of social problems of migrants. The authors analyze the existing regulatory framework in the field of population migration, as well as the opinions of Russian and Mongolian researchers on this issue. The Concept of the State Migration Policy of the Russian Federation (for the period 2019-2025) and the draft Law of Mongolia “On Labor Migration” (On the movement of labor) are considered as key elements of migration legislation. The role of national diasporas in solving the social problems of migrants is outlined. The authors conclude that it is necessary to involve national diasporas in the legislative process and political management of migration.
