The article discusses the peculiarities of the market transformation process that characterizes the sphere of traditional nature management of indigenous minorities of the North, Siberia and the Russia’s Far East in the post-Soviet space. Legislation regulating partnerships between aboriginal ethnic groups and the state and companies operating in the territories of their traditional nature use is analyzed. The incompleteness of the existing practice of law enforcement of compensatory agreements for obtaining the benefits of indigenous minorities from the activities of subsoil users is revealed. The possibilities of functional convergence of traditional social life and market economic sectors as a condition for expanding the partnership space, consolidation of efforts of the state and indigenous minorities to create a modern socio-economic structure of society are outlined. The question is being raised of including traditional management of small societies as one of the activities in the national projects of the State development of natural resources of the Arctic, taiga-tundra zone. The need for the right consolidation of a special regime of joint management of natural resources in the territories of aboriginal ancestral residence in the partnerships being built is justified.
