Precedent names in English-language media

The article is devoted to the study of ways of functioning of precedent names in English-language media, as well as a comparative analysis of the functioning of precedent names in the Russian and American press. These features are reflected and manifested, among other things, in the recruitment of national precedent phenomena, national stereotypes, in frame structures of consciousness, and - on the surface - in associations born to representatives of national linguistic communities in the process of communication.
