The limits of criminal procedure and the organizational powers of the head of the investigation team and the problems of their implementation in criminal proceedings

The article discusses current aspects of the investigative group in Russian criminal proceedings, its subject composition at the present stage, as well as the limits of authority of its main member - the head of the investigative group. The analysis of the procedural status of the members of the investigative group is carried out, its essential characteristics and features are revealed. The range of criminal procedural and organizational powers of the head of the investigative group has been determined, while the corresponding problems of their implementation during the preliminary investigation by the investigative group in Russian criminal proceedings have been identified.
