The article considers the possibility of distinguishing between systemoriented descriptive linguistics (“lingualogy”) and theoretical explanatory linguistics, correspondingly between lingualogical and linguistic (metalinguistic) reality. Some aspects of lingualogical and linguistic characteristics of a simple sentence are demonstrated.
