Proposals for reducing crimes related to illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or analogues thereof, potent substances, new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances

The drug situation in the Russian Federation continues to be difficult and objectively assessed by the leadership of our country as one of the main threats to the security of the individual, society and the state. The article presents officially published statistics for 2022-2023 on crimes related to drug trafficking. It was concluded that over the past years, there has been an increase in the overall incidence of drug addiction in the Russian Federation. It is determined that the danger to the inhabitants of our country from non-medical consumption of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances is determined not only by an increase in the number of crimes related to their illegal trafficking and an increase in the number of drug addicts, which already poses a threat to the gene pool of the population, but also by an increase in organized criminal groups in the field of drug trafficking. It is proposed that the joint unification of the efforts of law enforcement agencies with the active participation of residents of houses, video surveillance systems from intercom panels, the Safe City project will give positive results with "mortgagers," drug purchasers and will continue to contribute to countering organized drug crime in our country.
