The premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea among female students of an Ulyanovsk State University

The study, which involved 115 female students of Ulyanovsk State University, provided the frequency of occurrence and characteristics of premenstrual syndrome and primary dysmenorrhea. The results showed that the prevalence of these diseases of students exceeds 50 %, combination of both pathological conditions that affects more than 80 % of young girls. The severity of premenstrual syndrome correlated with the severity of dysmenorrhea. The most common form and risk factors of premenstrual syndrome diagnosed in female students.
